The bankruptcy case files are unbound case papers filed by nine bankruptcy proceedings held in the U.S. District Court for the Territory of Dakota, Second Judicial District. The case papers include creditors' petitions, schedules of debts and assets, adjudication of bankruptcy and orders of reference, depositions of creditors and debtors, abstracts of hearings, memorandums of meetings of creditors, selection of assignees, reports of assignees, affidavits of publication, orders of discharge and related exhibits filed during the proceedings. This series of cases is incomplete as only cases filed during 1868 and 1878 are included.
